Commissioning Couture

A couture commission with Amanda starts with a conversation at our atelier. We use this time to discuss your requirements in detail, your dreams, vision and personality that we will reflect in the design. We'll then create a map outlining the journey of your dress with a sketch and quote.

We start the making process by drafting a calico toile. We use this to fit and confirm the design. The next fitting is where you see the piece really come to life, as will be in its real fabric. We will use this fitting to further perfect the fit and play with design details.

From here you'll either have subsequent fittings based on the complexity of the design or it will be ready for a final fitting and pickup.

On average our couture commissions take 2-6 months to create, along side 3-5 fittings.

Our couture prices are dependant on the fabric choice and design + how many fittings will be required and project timeline. Below is a guide to starting prices.

A couture suit starts at £3,500

A couture long evening dress starts at £4,000

A couture cocktail dress starts at £2,500

Initial consultations for couture are a 30 minutes and are free of charge.
